Production Process

Shell wanted to create a lifestyle series that highlighted their in-store retail, featuring real employees.
We traveled to beautiful Alabama to shoot at a Shell station that we felt looked iconic, and neutral enough that it could be anywhere on America’s open road.
We shot with a real family and non-models in a working gas station.
Our photographer Mathieu Young used this flexibility to create an energy of improvisation and play.

We left set with a rich library of images, and had time to stop at Waffle House before heading back to LA.
